The seventh round of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and Japan was held in Tokyo at the headquarters of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs<\/a>, while the Japanese delegation was headed by Ando Toshihide, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau.<\/p>\n

The consultations addressed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the meeting, Sheikh Alharthy held a seminar on Omani-Japanese relations and developments in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

The event took place at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Tokyo and was attended by a number of Japanese politicians, business figures and academics.<\/p>\n

The meetings were attended by Ambassador Mohamed Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan;<\/a> Ambassador Sheikh Abdulaziz Alhousni, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department, and a number of officials from both countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
