It reached a cumulative value of RO 26.7 billion by the third quarter of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>This steady increase highlights Oman\u2019s success in positioning itself as a key global investment hub, driven by strategic reforms, a business-friendly environment, and advanced infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p><img data-opt-id=1190894610  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-73867 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/mlzlkxvcvliz.i.optimole.com\/cb:ghTT.1f99\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/g:sm\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/معالي-قيس-بن-محمد-اليوسف-وزير-التجارة-والصناعة-وترويج-الاستثمار-600x598-1.png\" alt=\"Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion\" width=\"800\" height=\"797\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Government Commitment to Investment Growth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tejarah.gov.om\/en\/about\/who-we-are\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MCIIP)<\/a>, attributed the positive FDI trends to Royal directives on developing the investment environment, helping to build a promising economic future.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the establishment of the Investment and Trade Court is a key step toward ensuring a stable legal framework that encourages foreign investments.<\/p>\n<p>He also noted that the Ministry of Commerce is committed to offering competitive incentives and streamlined processes to attract investors and foster economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>Improving the investment and business landscape is a top priority for sustainable economic growth, he added, noting that the Government is implementing initiatives to diversify the national economy and create job opportunities across multiple sectors.<\/p>\n<p><img data-opt-id=1597979947  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-73870 size-fusion-600\" src=\"https:\/\/mlzlkxvcvliz.i.optimole.com\/cb:ghTT.1f99\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/g:sm\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/سعادة-ابتسام-بنت-أحمد-الفروجية-وكيلة-وزارة-التجارة-والصناعة-وترويج-الاستثمار-600x609-1.jpeg\" alt=\"btisam Ahmed Al Farouji, Undersecretary for Investment Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion\" width=\"600\" height=\"609\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Investment Promotion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ibtisam Ahmed Al Farouji, Undersecretary for Investment Promotion at the <a href=\"https:\/\/tejarah.gov.om\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MCIIP <\/a>said that Oman&#8217;s investment sector is actively reviewing and evaluating its policies, regulations, and incentives.<\/p>\n<p>The Undersecretary noted that Oman promotes foreign investment\u00a0through\u00a0regional and international events, participation in major investment forums, and\u00a0marketing campaigns\u00a0aimed at attracting global investors.<\/p>\n<p>She explained that investment opportunities are being structured and supported by feasibility studies before being presented to investors. This seeks to accelerate foreign investments in targeted sectors, boost economic diversification, and increase non-oil revenues in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Such measures are expected to enhance investor confidence and strengthen Oman&#8217;s global competitiveness.<\/p>\n<p>She further stated that the Government, through the MCIIP inistry of Commerce, is currently focusing on key sectors outlined in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oman2040.om\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oman Vision 2040<\/a>. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transport and logistics<\/li>\n<li>Renewable energy<\/li>\n<li>Information technology<\/li>\n<li>Food security<\/li>\n<li>Tourism<\/li>\n<li>Mining<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other key areas include the\u00a0circular economy, healthcare, and education.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Foreign Investment by Country<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to statistics from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsi.gov.om\/ar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI)<\/a>, the United Kingdom remains Oman\u2019s largest foreign investor, with total investments of OMR 13.7 billion as of the third quarter of 2024.
