The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of the Philippines held a fifth session of political consultations in the Philippine capital, Manila.<\/p>\n

The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs<\/a>, while the Philippine delegation was headed by Maria Theresa Lazaro, Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.<\/p>\n

The meeting discussed bilateral relations in relation to politics, economic matters, trade, investment, education, and information technology. There was also an exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Khalifa also met with Enrique Manalo, Philippine Secretary for Foreign Affairs<\/a>, to explore aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries.<\/p>\n

The session and meeting were attended by Nasser Said Abdullah Almanwari<\/a>, Oman’s Ambassador to the Philippines; Raul Hernandez, the Philippine Ambassador to Oman<\/a>, and officials from both countries.<\/p>\n
