The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain signed 25 memoranda of understanding (MoUs), agreements, and executive programmes at Al Bustan Palace Hotel.<\/p>\n

The agreements covered cultural, scientific, social, health, media, financial, economic, food security, municipal work and meteorological fields.<\/p>\n

The signing took place during a state visit by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain<\/a>, to the Oman.<\/p>\n

The MoUs included a memorandum in the health sector between the Ministry of Health in Oman and its Bahraini counterpart; a memorandum in media cooperation between the Information Ministries of both countries; a memorandum on labour and human resource development between the Labour Ministries of both nations; a memorandum on agricultural, livestock, and food security cooperation between the Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries, and Water Resources of Oman and the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs of Bahrain; and a memorandum on education cooperation between the Education Ministries of both nations.<\/p>\n

The agreements also included MoUs on meteorology between Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority and Bahrain\u2019s Ministry of Transportation and Communications; two memoranda in the fields of endowments and zakat between the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in Oman and Bahrain\u2019s Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Awqaf; a memorandum on public administration between the Royal Academy of Management and the Institute of Public Administration in Bahrain; and a memorandum on capacity building in combating human trafficking between the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking in Oman and Bahrain\u2019s Labor Market Regulatory Authority.<\/p>\n

Other agreements included a memorandum on social protection and insurance between Oman\u2019s Social Protection Fund and Bahrain\u2019s Social Insurance Organization; a memorandum on organising exhibitions and conferences between Oman\u2019s Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority. The agreements also included memoranda on investment promotion, intellectual property, the industrial sector, and the analysis and stamping of precious metals and gemstones, signed between Oman\u2019s Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion and Bahrain\u2019s Ministry of Industry and Commerce.<\/p>\n

An agreement on double taxation was also signed between Oman\u2019s Tax Authority and Bahrain\u2019s National Revenue Authority; as well as a memorandum on investment between Oman Investment Authority and Bahrain\u2019s Mumtalakat Holding Company; a memorandum on food security between Oman\u2019s Netaj and Bahrain\u2019s Ghadeer; and a memorandum on the establishment and development of economic and industrial zones between Oman\u2019s Public Authority for Special Economic and Free Zones and Bahrain\u2019s Ministry of Industry and Commerce. A memorandum was also signed between the stock exchanges of Muscat and Bahrain.<\/p>\n

Four executive programmes were also signed on: school education quality assurance between Oman\u2019s Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority and Bahrain\u2019s Education and Training Quality Authority; on museum cooperation between the National Museum of Oman and Bahrain National Museum; on municipal work for 2025\u20132026 between Oman\u2019s Interior Ministry and Bahrain\u2019s Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs; and on electricity and renewable energy between Oman\u2019s Ministry of Energy and Minerals and Bahrain\u2019s Ministry of Electricity and Water Affairs.<\/p>\n

The agreements and MoUs were signed on behalf of the Government of Oman by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign <\/a>Minister; Sultan Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion; Engineer Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority.<\/p>\n

On behalf of Bahrain, the signatories included Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Oman’s Foreign Minister,\u00a0Sayyid Badr<\/a>, said that the MoUs, agreements, and executive programs encompass a wide range of cooperation areas and will be translated into tangible realities. He added that the Foreign Ministries of the two nations will work closely to ensure the implementation of the agreements.<\/p>\n

Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahrain\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs<\/a>, said that these agreements and MoUs reflect the spirit of integration and cooperation between the two brotherly nations. He praised the historical ties between the two countries and peoples, underscoring the continuous support from their leaderships.<\/p>\n
