Oman and Belgium have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in developing the green hydrogen economy and supporting \u00a0joint projects in the field.<\/p>\n

The signing, between the Belgian Hydrogen Council (BHC)<\/a> and Hydrom Oman, <\/a>took place in Antwerp as part of the state visit by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Kingdom of Belgium.<\/a><\/p>\n

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Omani Government by Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals<\/a> and Chairman of Hydrom Oman; and by Tom Hautekiet<\/a>, President of the Belgian Hydrogen Council.<\/p>\n

The MoU seeks to establish a platform for exchange and collaboration among industrial entities, universities, research institutes and policymakers in both countries. Areas of cooperation include analysing value chains for green hydrogen imports, developing infrastructure plans for shipping in Oman and receiving shipments in Belgium, identifying regulatory challenges, and working to address them. The agreement also covers support for joint research initiatives, and organising technical training programmes and awareness campaigns to promote green hydrogen.<\/p>\n

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to working together to achieve sustainability goals and strengthen economic partnerships in the field of clean energy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
