The Embassies of the Sultanate of Oman in Dhaka, Jakarta and Tokyo celebrated the 54th Glorious National Day with the presence of Oman\u2019s Ambassadors to these countries, alongside a large number of government officials, diplomats, cultural and academic figures, and business leaders.<\/p>\n

In Dhaka<\/strong>, the embassy hosted a reception attended by Ambassador Abdul Ghaffar Albulushi<\/a> and Dr Asif Nazrul, Adviser to the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs and the Ministry of Expatriates, along with several government officials. The Ambassador highlighted Oman’s national achievements, Vision 2040, and the Sultanate’s policy of dialogue and peace. He emphasised the strong ties with Bangladesh, noting that Oman is home to around 700,000 Bangladeshi residents and has long term agreements to supply liquefied natural gas to the country. The event featured visual presentations about Oman\u2019s landmarks and traditional Omani cuisine.<\/p>\n

In Jakarta<\/strong>, the Embassy held a celebration, attended by Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Alshanfari<\/a> and Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Mutiya Hafid. The event brought together Members of Parliament, heads of diplomatic missions and officials from both public and private sectors. It highlighted the exceptional bilateral relations between Oman and Indonesia, with a focus on mutual cooperation across various fields.<\/p>\n

In Tokyo, the Embassy organised a reception attended by Ambassador Dr Mohamed Said Albusaidi<\/a> and Takuma Miyaji, Japan\u2019s State Minister for Foreign Affairs. In his speech, the Ambassador outlined Oman\u2019s achievements and praised the development of bilateral relations with Japan, particularly in clean energy, green hydrogen and the goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The Japanese Minister commended efforts to strengthen cooperation, including the resumption of economic partnership agreement negotiations with the GCC and Oman\u2019s participation in the Osaka\/Kansai Expo 2025. The event included visual presentations, documentaries and publications showcasing Omani history and culture.<\/p>\n

Attendees expressed their appreciation for Oman\u2019s progress across various fields, emphasising the strength of bilateral relations, and conveying their best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Oman, its government and its people.<\/p>\n
