The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones<\/a> has announced a tender for additional works at the fishing port in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The project, funded by the Saudi Fund for Development<\/a>, will provide essential services including road networks, traffic signals and signage, road lighting, rainwater drainage systems, sewage networks, drinking water networks, fire safety systems and communication networks.<\/p>\n

The Authority is inviting experienced Omani and Saudi company alliances to participate in the tender through the electronic platform<\/a>. The deadline for submitting tender documents is set for 18 November.<\/p>\n

The fishing port in Duqm is strategically located near the planned fisheries and food industries area, currently home to six factories.<\/p>\n

The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones also envisions the port contributing to environmentally friendly green energy projects.<\/p>\n

Duqm Fishing Port is operated by Duqm Port Investment Company<\/a>, a consortium led by companies from the Oman Investment Authority.<\/p>\n

This includes Oman Fisheries Development<\/a>, Asyad Ports and Harbours<\/a>, Al Wusta Fisheries Industries Company<\/a>, Oman Food Investment Holding Company<\/a> and France’s Lorient Port Company, one of the largest fishing ports in Europe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
