{"id":1914,"date":"2024-02-25T11:11:43","date_gmt":"2024-02-25T11:11:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/1914\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T06:27:40","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T06:27:40","slug":"president-of-somalia-sends-message-to-his-majesty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/1914\/","title":{"rendered":"President of Somalia sends message to His Majesty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/about-oman\/state\/head-of-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> received a written message from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.somalia.gov.so\/excutive\/the-president\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The message related to bilateral relations between Oman and Somalia.<\/p>\n<p>The message was handed over by the envoy of the Somali President, Ali Mohammed Omar, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.mfa.gov.so\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minister of State for Foreign Affairs,<\/a> when he met with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/ministry\/about-us\/key-figures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img data-opt-id=589530117  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-fusion-800 wp-image-48108\" src=\"https:\/\/mlzlkxvcvliz.i.optimole.com\/cb:ghTT.1f99\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/g:sm\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-02-25-at-2.28.32-PM-800x534-1.jpeg\" alt=\"His Majesty the Sultan receives a written message from His Excellency the President of Somalia\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the Ministers discussed cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop that cooperation. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Foreign Ministry&#8217;s Arab Department; Ambassador Raji Othman Omar, Director of the Arab Department at the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.mfa.gov.so\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs<\/a>; Osman Ahmed Mohammed, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires of the Somali Embassy in Muscat, and a number of officials from Oman&#8217;s Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>This is an unofficial English version of an Arabic report.
