{"id":1840,"date":"2024-02-17T14:02:53","date_gmt":"2024-02-17T14:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/1840\/"},"modified":"2025-12-14T09:36:21","modified_gmt":"2025-12-14T09:36:21","slug":"the-foreign-minister-meets-hanky-bruins-minister-of-foreign-affairs-of-the-kingdom-of-the-netherlands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/1840\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign Minister meets Dutch counterpart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/ministry\/about-us\/key-figures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oman&#8217;s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi<\/a> met with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.government.nl\/government\/members-of-cabinet\/hanke-bruins-slot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hanke Bruins Slot, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands<\/a>, on the sidelines of the <a href=\"https:\/\/securityconference.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Munich Security Conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministers discussed relations between Oman and the Netherlands and their keenness to continue developing them, exchanging experiences and investing in various sectors to achieve common gains.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministers also discussed regional developments in both the Middle East and Europe and stressed their support for efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza to address the catastrophic humanitarian conditions and enforce international law.<\/p>\n<p>They emphasised the need for purposeful and constructive dialogue to achieve security and peace and the establishment of an independent Palestine as the basis for a two state solution.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/berlin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maithaa Saif Majid Al Mahrouqi, Oman&#8217;s Ambassador to Germany<\/a>, and a number of officials from both Oman and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>This is an unofficial English version of an Arabic report.
