The tenth session of the Oman Kuwait Joint Committee was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly State of Kuwait, chaired by Oman\u2019s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi<\/a> and Kuwait\u2019s Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al Yahya<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sayyid Badr noted that the historic visits by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> and His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah<\/a> marked a new phase in the brotherly relations between the two countries and opened new horizons for bilateral cooperation in strategic areas that deepen mutual interests.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, he also highlighted that relations between Oman and Kuwait are a model for Arab brotherly relations, rooted in history, mutual trust and strong bonds.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the Committee\u2019s work, the minutes of the tenth session were signed, along with several memoranda of understanding and executive programmes.<\/p>\n

These cover cooperation in culture and the arts, land transport, agriculture, consumer protection, and municipal work, as well as tourism and labour executive programmes and a memorandum for the recognition of maritime certificates for seafarers.<\/p>\n

Attending the committee meeting from Oman were Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry\u2019s Gulf Cooperation Council and Region Department; Dr Saleh Amer Alkharusi, Oman\u2019s Ambassador to Kuwait<\/a>; and several officials from the Sultanate\u2019s Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n

Attending the Committee from Kuwait were, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait;<\/a> Ambassador Najib Abdulrahman Al Badr, Assistant Foreign Minister for GCC Affairs; Dr Mohammad bin Nasser Al Hajri, Kuwait\u2019s Ambassador to Oman<\/a>; and several officials from Kuwait\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

This meeting reflects both Governments’ commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields, in line with the directives of the leaders of both countries and in support of shared interests.<\/p>\n
