{"id":18036,"date":"2024-10-31T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-31T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/18036\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T11:59:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T11:59:06","slug":"strong-growth-in-omans-total-bank-deposits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/18036\/","title":{"rendered":"Strong growth in Oman&#8217;s total bank deposits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Total bank deposits in Oman at the end of August exceeded OMR 31 billion, marking strong growth of nearly 12% compared to the same period last year, according to data from the <a href=\"https:\/\/cbo.gov.om\/Pages\/CBOHome.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Central Bank of Oman<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Private sector deposits accounted for nearly two-thirds, reaching around OMR 21bn.<\/p>\n<p>Deposits with conventional banks also saw a year-on-year increase of more than 10%.
