The Governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the People\u2019s Democratic Republic of Algeria signed eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the Algerian President’s state visit to Oman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The MoUs cover cooperation in higher education, scientific and educational research, financial services, employment and training, media, environment and sustainable development, organisation of exhibitions, events and conferences, and investment promotion.<\/p>\n

\"Oman<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Omani government, the MoUs were signed by Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi<\/a>; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion; and Engineer Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals.<\/p>\n

Representing Algeria, the MoUs were signed by Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad<\/a>; Kamel Baddari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Laaziz Fayed, Minister of Finance; Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Trade and Export Promotion; Fazia Dahleb, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies; and Omar Rekache, Director General of the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion.<\/p>\n

Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi told the Oman News Agency that these MoUs are part of a strategy to exchange expertise and knowledge and focus on priority areas for cooperation. He emphasised that they will stimulate partnerships and enhance connections, both at the government level and between the private sectors of both countries.<\/p>\n

He added that Omani-Algerian relations would continue to grow and thrive, with follow-up mechanisms for these agreements and executive programmes to maximise the mutual benefits for both countries.<\/p>\n

Ahmed Attaf, Algeria’s Foreign Minister, also spoke to the Oman News Agency to say that signing these MoUs aligns with the shared interests of both sides and expands their areas of cooperation.<\/p>\n

He highlighted that the MoUs concentrate on priorities that can be activated to serve shared interests and raise bilateral relations to wider and more prosperous levels<\/p>\n
