{"id":17850,"date":"2024-10-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-26T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/17850\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T11:59:00","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T11:59:00","slug":"civil-aviation-authority-signs-six-transport-agreements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/17850\/","title":{"rendered":"Civil Aviation Authority signs six transport agreements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caa.gov.om\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)<\/a> signed air transport agreements with Australia, Seychelles, Uganda, Chad, Suriname and Chile.<\/p>\n<p>This took place during the Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, organised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icao.int\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Civil Aviation Organisation<\/a> and attended by civil aviation authorities from around the world.<\/p>\n<p><img data-opt-id=1975021424  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-62702 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/mlzlkxvcvliz.i.optimole.com\/cb:ghTT.1f99\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/g:sm\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/671a40a0ac429-800x450-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Head of Oman's CAA with the deputy head of civil aviation in Australia\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The agreements, signed for Oman by Engineer Naif bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the CAA, enable airlines in Oman and the signing countries to operate a number of passenger and cargo flights between their airports.<\/p>\n<p><img data-opt-id=201604149  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-62704 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/mlzlkxvcvliz.i.optimole.com\/cb:ghTT.1f99\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/g:sm\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/671a40a0ad77c-800x571-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Head of Oman's Civil Aviation Authority signing agreement\" width=\"800\" height=\"571\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The CAA Chairman highlighted the importance of the relationships between Oman and the countries with which these agreements were signed.<\/p>\n<p>He said the Authority seeks to advance the civil aviation sector by strengthening air transport cooperation and increasing airline operations to and from Oman.
