{"id":17592,"date":"2024-10-14T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-14T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/17592\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T12:14:40","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T12:14:40","slug":"oman-and-belarus-sign-cooperation-agreements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/17592\/","title":{"rendered":"Oman and Belarus sign cooperation agreements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat.<\/p>\n<p>The agreements cover cooperation in the fields of competition protection, anti-monopoly practices, consumer protection and information exchange on the operation of financial markets.<\/p>\n<p>The signing took place as part of the official visit of Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, to Oman.<\/p>\n<p>The first MoU, signed between the <a href=\"https:\/\/investoman.om\/sector\/ministry-of-commerce-industry-and-investment-promotion-64\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mart.gov.by\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus<\/a>, focuses on competition protection and anti-monopoly practices.<\/p>\n<p>It aims to develop and enhance cooperation between the two parties in this area, including the exchange of information on legal developments and sharing experiences and expertise.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-61299 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_9332-800x476-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Oman and Belarus sign cooperation agreements\" width=\"800\" height=\"476\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The second MoU, signed between the <a href=\"https:\/\/cpa.gov.om\/en\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consumer Protection Authority<\/a> and the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus, seeks to enhance cooperation, exchange information and share experiences related to consumer protection and relevant legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Both agreements were signed on behalf of Oman by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/ministry\/about-us\/key-figures\/#Khalifa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs<\/a>, and for Belarus by <a href=\"https:\/\/mfa.gov.by\/en\/ministry\/senior_staff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sergey Lukashevich, Deputy Foreign Minister<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-61297 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_9333-800x394-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Oman and Belarus sign cooperation agreements\" width=\"800\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The third MoU, signed between the <a href=\"https:\/\/fsa.gov.om\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Capital Market Authority<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.minfin.gov.by\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of Finance of Belarus<\/a>, focuses on information exchange related to the operation of financial markets.<\/p>\n<p>It aims to strengthen investor protection and create favourable conditions for the effective development of financial and insurance markets between the two nations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-61295 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_9334-800x442-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Oman and Belarus sign cooperation agreements\" width=\"800\" height=\"442\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This agreement was signed for Oman by <a href=\"https:\/\/fsa.gov.om\/Home\/AboutCMA\/ExecutiveManagement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abdullah bin Salem Al Salmi, CEO of the Capital Market Authority<\/a>, and for Belarus by Sergei Terentiev, the non resident Ambassador of Belarus to Oman.<\/p>\n<p>This is an unofficial English version of an Arabic report.
