Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef<\/a>, met officials from the US administration and Congress to discuss the development of investment and trade partnerships between Oman and the United States.<\/p>\n

The Minister and his accompanying delegation also met representatives from American companies in the fields of healthcare, information technology and tourism.<\/p>\n

They showcased the investment opportunities available in Oman aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Discussions included how to maximise the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement between Oman and the USA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the Minister met with a number of Omani students studying in the states of New York, Washington and Arizona. The delegation also visited several US cities.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the visit, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the United States<\/a> organised a reception at the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre<\/a> in Washington.<\/p>\n

Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef spoke about the objectives of the visit, the desired outcomes and the key investment opportunities between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The Vice President of the US Export-Import Bank<\/a> spoke about the strong relations between the two nations and praised Oman’s efforts to boost economic cooperation.<\/p>\n

The delegation then toured the centre learning about Omani culture and its rich history as well as viewing some of the centre\u2019s Omani heritage exhibits.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
