{"id":15806,"date":"2024-07-29T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-29T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/15806\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T11:58:40","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T11:58:40","slug":"almost-12-rise-in-passengers-through-omans-airports-in-first-half-of-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/15806\/","title":{"rendered":"Almost 12% rise in passengers through Oman\u2019s airports in first half of 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The total number of passengers through Oman&#8217;s airports during the first half of 2024 increased by 11.9% to\u00a0 7,074,854 passengers on 53,316 flights.<\/p>\n<p>That compared to 6,322,152 passengers 49,013 flights during the first half of 2023, according to preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.<\/p>\n<p>The number of passengers through Muscat International Airport by the end of June 2024 reached 6,386,267, a rise of 11.8%. These passengers travelled onboard 48,052 flights, up by 8.7%.<\/p>\n<p>The number of passengers through Salalah Airport reached 628,951, up by 10.9% compared to the period by the end of June 2023. These passengers travelled onboard 4,688 flights, up by 7.3%.<\/p>\n<p>International flights through Salalah Airport stood at 2,475 with 306,989 passengers onboard, while the number of domestic flights stood at 2,213 with 321,962 passengers onboard.<\/p>\n<p>The number of passengers through Sohar Airport stood at 29,751 onboard 268 flights.
