{"id":15772,"date":"2024-07-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-16T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/15772\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T11:58:39","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T11:58:39","slug":"omans-gdp-rises-1-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/15772\/","title":{"rendered":"Oman&#8217;s GDP rises 1.7%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oman&#8217;s GDP at constant prices recorded a 1.7% increase by the end of the first quarter of 2024, reaching 9.54 billion Omani Rials, compared to 9.37 billion Omani Rials during the same period in 2023.<\/p>\n<p><img data-opt-id=499385432  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-56187 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/mlzlkxvcvliz.i.optimole.com\/cb:ghTT.1f99\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/g:sm\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/id:ce7d811ee765a17876d3d29c93a85d9c\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/\/id:ce7d811ee765a17876d3d29c93a85d9c\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/66963ce8a528b-800x450-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Oman's GDP rises 1.7%\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Preliminary data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicate that crude oil activities stood at 2.55 billion Omani Rials, a decrease of 3.3%, while natural gas activities increased by 3%, to 437.1 million Omani Rials.<\/p>\n<p>The data also show that non-oil activities rose by 4.5%, amounting to 6.80 billion Omani Rials by the end of the first quarter of 2024, compared to 6.51 billion Omani Rials at the end of the same quarter in 2023.<\/p>\n<p><img data-opt-id=256146604  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-56189 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/mlzlkxvcvliz.i.optimole.com\/cb:ghTT.1f99\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/g:sm\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/id:637f290b89a562e053470d7ba7aca461\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/\/id:637f290b89a562e053470d7ba7aca461\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/66963ce8b4b7f-800x450-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Oman GDP rises 1.7% \" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Industrial activities amounted to 1.99 billion Omani Rials by the end of the first quarter of this year, compared to 1.88 billion Omani Rials at the end of the first quarter of 2023.
