{"id":1152,"date":"2024-01-30T15:58:21","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T15:58:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/1152\/"},"modified":"2025-12-14T09:35:43","modified_gmt":"2025-12-14T09:35:43","slug":"oman-and-norway-hold-political-consultations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/1152\/","title":{"rendered":"Oman and Norway hold political consultations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Norway held their third session of political consultations in Muscat today.<\/p>\n<p>The Omani representation was headed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/ministry\/about-us\/key-figures\/#Khalifa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs<\/a>, while the Norwegian representation was headed by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.regjeringen.no\/en\/dep\/ud\/organisation\/political_staff\/staff_umin\/state-secretary-andreas-motzfeldt-kravik\/id2991024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Andreas Kravik, State Secretary of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting reviewed the good relations between Oman and Norway, with agreement on a shared keenness to continue developing cooperation in all fields.<\/p>\n<p>A number of regional and international issues of common interest were also discussed, including the repercussions of the Israeli war on Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>The session was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Humaid Almaani, Head of the Foreign Ministry&#8217;s Global Affairs Department; Ambassador Munther Almandhari, Head of the Europe Department; Thomas Lid Ball, Norway&#8217;s Ambassador to Oman; Kjersti Tromsdal, Norway\u2019s Special Envoy to Yemen, as well as officials from both Oman and Norway.<\/p>\n<p>This is an unofficial English version of an Arabic report.
